A two-page letter from James J.A. Fortier to H.J.L. Stark inquiring about a football game on the Tulane field in New Orleans on possibly November 12th.  Fortier mentions at this time it would be a practical impossibility for Tulane University to travel for a football game with the University of Texas.  Fortier goes on to ask Stark about Texas' schedule and rumors surrounding the football schedule and hopes Stark will send I response to clear up the rumors.  Fortier concludes the letter by stating Tulane can only offer a guarantee of no more than $500 but can guarantee a "rip-roaring reception".
