January 11, 1910
Letter from H.J.L. Stark to Southwestern University football manager asking Southwestern if they would like to play Texas on their opening football game on October 8th with a $100 guarantee.
January 19, 1910
Letter from P.H. Arbuckle to H.J.L. Stark explains the lateness in replying to his letter of January 11th and states October 8th is a good date but he has some considerations in regards to the guarantee.
January 29, 1910
Letter from H.J.L. Stark to P.H. Arbuckle stating he is glad to hear that Southwestern is favorable to playing Texas's opening game and gives samples of past guarantee amounts Texas has paid to Southwestern in the past. Stark does give Southwestern a larger than usual guarantee of $150 since Southwestern has always stood with Texas on their fight for clean athletics in the state.

February 22, 1910
Letter from H.J.L. Stark to P.H. Arbuckle in regards to their conversation a week ago about the guarantee for the October 8th football game. Stark states that if Arbuckle can guarantee to bring over 300 people he is able to offer Southwestern a $200 guarantee.
March 4, 1910
Letter from P.H. Arbuckle to H.J.L. Stark stating that he meet with the faculty committee and manager and they are not sure of the agreement that Arbuckle and Stark agreed to. The faculty committee offers an alternative proposition for guarantee.
March 22, 1910
Letter from P.H. Arbuckle to H.J.L. Stark letting Stark know he will be in Austin on March 28th and would like to meet with him to finalize the proposition for the football game on October 8th.
April 1, 1910
Letter from P.H. Arbuckle to H.J.L. Stark asking Stark to send him the contracts for the October 8th football game and promises him that there is no issue with closing the deal since the faculty committee and manager agree with the terms.
