A three-page letter from Earl B. Smyth to H.J.L. Stark inquiring about playing a football game with the University of Texas in Waco in early November. Smyth includes that if they are not able to come to an agreement on his proposition, Baylor would be glad to meet Texas at Houston during the carnival or Dallas during the fair.

A two-page letter from Earl B. Smyth to H.J.L. Stark stating he hasn't heard a response from Stark and wanted to know which date, November 5th or 9th. Smyth suggests that the football game is on November 5th due to better attendance which would give Texas a more profitable game if Stark chooses to take 50% of net receipts.
